SAVE THE DATE: The Walworth Festival in the Park will be August 22 and 23. The parade will be Friday the 22nd at 6pm. There will be rides for the kids, booths of food and games and music for all, Saturday morning Festival in the Park 5K Race and Saturday night fireworks. We will have a dunk tank, a bicycle raffle and more. The wrestlers and coaches will be participating in the parade on Friday night, August 22 @ 6:00 PM, handing out wrestling flyers to the crowd. More info will follow. |

Hello Everyone!
I wanted to pass
along some information to you about a benefit that is happening this
Sunday June 8th. It is for Molly and Hank Forrest of the 1812 Hotel,
Main St. Sodus. Molly is Scott Schales' (assistant JV coach) mom,
and a past Wrestling Booster Member.
Due to a
devastating fire on April 6th, 2008, they lost their business! With
no insurance, the expenses are overwhelming, so please come out for a good
time and show your support. Rascal's Bar and Grill 5708 Ridge Road,
Williamson. There will be a DJ, Silent Auction, and 50/50 raffles.
A donation at the door would be greatly appreciated.
Please pass this on to anyone you may think of that knows Molly and Scott.

April 12, 2008 Wayne's Bobby Dierna and Vinnie DiGravio have been named to the Daily Messenger All-League first-team all-stars for the 2008 winter sports season. The all-star teams, comprised of athletes from all the Finger Lakes Leagues, were chosen by our sports staff on the basis of three important factors - first-hand observation, statistical achievements and recommendation from coaches. Features on the teams will begin running in our paper later in April, and we hope they will add to what has been an exciting season for all athletes. |

Spartan Wrestling Club is pleased to
announce members of the All-Marine Wrestling Team will host a wrestling
clinic at Greece Olympia High School, 1139 Maiden Lane, Rochester, New York
14615 on Sunday, September 30th, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Clinic will be held in the Greece Olympia Gymnasium. All-Marine Team members scheduled to attend include: While the clinic is best suited for the high school wrestler, all wrestlers and coaches are welcome to attend. With cooperation of the US Marine Corp, All-Marine Wrestling Team and Spartan Wrestling Club the clinic is being offered to all wrestlers and coaches at NO CHARGE! While there will be no participation fee associated with the clinic, all participating athletes are asked to complete a clinic registration form and bring it with them on September 30th for registration purposes. I have attached an event flyer, as well as a registration form; please feel free to download and distribute as needed. Island Dual Meet Tournament The Wayne Wrestling Club was the Blue Bracket Champions. Wayne lost one dual match and that was to the New Jersey Shore Thing Wrestling Club, which placed 1st in the Gold Bracket of the tournament. Bobby Dierna received a gold metal for being undefeated in all bouts at 105 lbs. |
